Jazzy models own NOTD

Just a quick post! Here is my NOTD using models own! I started with their new rubber texture base coat. I used 4 different colours Purple Grey, Misty Grey, Sun Hat(from the new for tans range.... Which by the way I can't get enough of) and strawberry tart (the strawberry scented one).

This design was super easy to create and other than drying time was really quick. I stated by applying 2 coats of each colour randomly on different nails, I then added a couple of dots, lines and tips!

My favourite designs are the ones with more then 3 colours on but I think it's important to keep it simple otherwise it can make the whole look appear to much!

The Hollywood

With summer fast approaching here in the U.K, well the 5 or 6 days we get of it anyway, as women (and some men) we have a lot of hair removal issues to worry about! I know hair removal can be a bit of a risky subject to speak about but I wanted to speak on behalf of all hairy women who are tired of try a million different things an them not working! After literally years of not knowing what to do about excess body hair I have finally found something that works for me! And it's Waxing! At a salon! For me getting everything and I mean everything waxed off is the best solution! Now I know this might come across as a little bit TMI but if this is something that you might want to do then I'm hoping to make it a much less daunting experiance!

I am a 25 year old with pale skin and dark hair. My hair is naturally thick and dark brown, every place women aren't ment to grow hair I do! After years of shaving as a teenager and into my early twenties with it only lasting a day or two, getting a lot of skin irritation along with my legs bleeding around each hair folical I tried home waxing, this just made a huge mess and I couldn't get the right angle along with the self inflicted pain I wasn't very good at it! I think I tried hair removal cream or mousse once, it made my skin burn and didn't get rid of the hair!

Last January I started to epilate my armpits! I would 100% recommend this! Other than the fact that the first time I did it it made me sweat with pain (which brings me ask the question where does beauty end and self harm begin) it has been one of the best things I have done! The hair has grown back much thinner, there is less of it and you don't get 'dark armpits' which people complain about! It even gets less painful the more you do it! I probably do mine once every other week, you do have to let it grow a bit to epilate but the result and not having to experiance shaving rash is 100% worth it!

Earlier this year I started to epilate my legs, and bikini line.... This was a disaster! Epilating my lower leg... Fine! But the top was so sensitive I couldn't do it and when I tried to do the edge on my bikini line I just chewed up my skin! It was a painful mess! Luckily this was a turning point for me! As I am going away on a long hot sunny holiday with my boyfriend's family this year I had decided early on I wasn't going to be be shaing every day and hitting the beach with a huge shaving rash all over my legs and pubic area! So I took the plunge and went to a beauty salon and booked in for The Hollywood!!! If you don't know what this is it is the removal of all hair on the pubic region, and pubic hair on the legs and including 'underneath' which means your bum!

So I took the plunge! I can't lie I was really nervous! More than the pain I was worried about having to get my fanny out! They told me to take some pain killers half an hour before to help numb the pain, I don't know if this actually did anything but I took them anyway. They where really professional and when you arrive they take you to the room that you will be having the treatment in and leave you to get undressed along with some wipes so you can 'freshen up' before your treatment! Going to a salon and getting a wax compared to waxing or shaving at home is so much better for several reasons 1. It's quick 2. It all gets done properly and you don't give up half way because your bored or you neck hurts 3. The result is much cleaner and there isn't any mess 4. You don't start doing it then give up and shave and have a half smooth half stubbly fanny 5. It doesn't itch when it grows back 6. You are completely hair free for more then 12 hours at a time and finally 7. You so smooth and soft.

This works so well for me and after the first time I also got a half leg wax, the top half, my beautician does a deal so it's really quite cheap! If your not sure what to do with your excess body hair this summer then I defiantly recommend going and getting it waxed off! It's worth the money and you then don't have to worry about hair removal for the next 4 weeks! It might seem quite daunting but I can't put into words how much of a great experience it was! If you do nothing else this summer then go and experiance The Hollywood... Or Brazilian!!!

NOTD models own Turquoise Gloss HyperGel

This is just a quick post as I have had loads of comments on how nice this colour is! All I really wanted to do was share the love a bit!

As it says in the title it is one on models own from the HyperGel range (no UV required) in the shade of .... Turquoise Gloss! I got it from the Shepherd's Bush Westfield shopping center in a 6 bottles for £20 deal! This was the only HyperGel polish bought, and the only one I have, and I love it!

I have had it on for 4 days now chip free! The colour is much more vibrant when it's applied than the colour it shows on the bottle which I love! I will 100% be buying more from this HyperGel range in the future! And would 100% recommend it!

Free Hand French tip NOTD

Just a quick post for my nail of the day! Just a simple free hand French Tip manicure. Only took me a couple of minutes!

My top tips are....

1. Use a nail varnish that is new, nice and runny not gloopy!

2. Practice! Practice makes perfect (not that these are perfect)

3 . Don't worry if you get it on your skin, you can scrub it off the next day when the nail varnish is 100% rock solid or use a cotton bud and nail varnish remover to wipe it off.

Personally I think using a nail varnish remover and a cotton bud is useless and I can never get it off my skin and end up wiping it off my nail instead! But that's just me!

Here I used an old base coat first, next one coat of a nude polish (i used miss sporty) then Barry M white for the tips. To top it off I finished with my Seche Vite top coat!.... And Bob's your unkle! Done!

Quick Tip

Just a quick tip tonight! If you are trying to remove glitter nail varnish and it won't come off, because it never does, then apply some nail varnish remover to some cotton wool as normal. Wrap the cotton wool around your nail the wrap the cotton wool in some tin foil. Leave it for a couple of minutes while the nail varnish remover lifts the glitter off!

Yay! Glitter nail varnish be gone!

My boyfriend bought me this nail varnish for Christmas and he did a good job!
